Our Story
Our Story
From Cairo, with intention.
The Beginning
Maison Ria started not with a business plan, but with a frustration. Egyptian fashion had long been underrepresented on the world stage — not for lack of talent, but for lack of visibility. We wanted to change that.
We started small. A studio in Cairo, a handful of carefully chosen fabrics, and a commitment to making things properly. No shortcuts. No fast cycles. Just good clothes, made well.
The Craft
Egypt has one of the oldest textile traditions in the world. We draw on that heritage — Egyptian linen, hand-finished edges, construction techniques passed down through generations of Cairo artisans — and translate it into a modern, minimal wardrobe.
Every Maison Ria piece is made in Egypt, by people who take pride in what they produce. We work closely with our makers, treat them fairly, and involve them in the process from the beginning.
The Aesthetic
We are drawn to restraint. To clothes that do not shout, but are noticed anyway. Our palette is drawn from the Egyptian landscape — warm cream, deep black, desert sand, the faded terracotta of old Cairo walls.
We design for versatility: pieces that move from morning to evening, from the city to the coast, from Cairo to anywhere in the world.
The Vision
Maison Ria is a long game. We are building something we believe in: a fashion house that is proudly Egyptian, globally relevant, and built to last. We want to dress the world from Cairo — and to prove that where something is made is something to be proud of, not hidden.
“Elegance is not about being noticed. It is about being remembered.”
